The Grey Roots Museum (102599 Grey County Rd 18, Owen Sound) is hosting a day of activities for everyone on February 19. For the first time, the Museum is offering the chance to snowshoe or cross-country ski in the village, on the grounds, and in the neighboring gardens. Bring your own equipment; we will have 2-3 spare pairs of snowshoes for those who want to try it. We will have a hike leader from 10:30am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-2:00pm, and 2:30-3:30pm. Come and enjoy everything that the Museum has to offer, and a short hike!
Come and see the Sydenham Club at the Owen Sound Health Fair on March 17 from 10:00am-3:00pm. The Health Fair is a great occasion to get acquainted with health-focused businesses and associations in and around Owen Sound. There are often draws and give-aways. Our Sydenham Bruce Trail Club will offer information, membership, and volunteer opportunities for visitors. See you there!
Come and join fellow SBTC members for the Annual Spring Social on Sunday May 6th. Visit with friends, get to know new members, enjoy a variety of hikes and even win a prize. Feel free to bring guests who might be interested in joining the Bruce Trail. There will be 3 hikes offered: Flora and Fauna Hike, Meditative Hike in Nature, Camera Hike. The hikes will be followed by a happy hour with a non alcoholic punch and some
snacks. This will be followed by a pot luck supper. Each person should bring a dish that would be enough to serve a portion to 6 people.
After dinner for those who want to stay Bob Knapp will have a half hour photo presentation from a recent hiking trip.
Meet at Walter Falls Community Centre, 104 Church St. at 2:00pm and the hikes will start from the hall.
