Harrison Park, Owen Sound (near the Harrison Park Playground)
Everyone’s invited to celebrate Bruce Trail Day, on October 6!
Bruce Trail Day is an annual celebration of the Bruce Trail and the wonders of the Niagara Escarpment, hosted by the Bruce Trail Conservancy at each of its Bruce Trail Clubs.
Everyone is welcome! We invite nature lovers, hikers of all levels, and anyone wanting to venture onto the Bruce Trail for the first time, or the hundredth time, to join us. #BruceTrailforAll
Come join the Sydenham Bruce Trail Club in Harrison Park, Owen Sound, near the Harrison Park Playground, from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm on October 6. You’ll learn about our year-round hiking programs, volunteer opportunities, and what we are doing to preserve a ribbon of wilderness in southern Ontario from Niagara to Tobermory.
And you can help participate in the launch of our new Youth Hiking Program! This program will create opportunities for youth (children and teens up to age 18) in the Sydenham Club area to explore the Bruce Trail, to learn more about our natural environment. The program has different kinds of hikes, with badges for completing the hikes. More information will be provided at our booth in Harrison Park, where we’ll be offering Family Discovery hikes, nature walks, and scavenger hunts on Bruce Trail Day.
